About Lunette

Started in Finland Lunette is a company that wants to change the way periods are seen. As such while their Lunette Cup is their star product it's far from their sole focus. In the years since its conception, the company has printed over 150,000 education booklets, donated over 30,000 of their cups, and delivered over 500 education packs. All in all, proving that their dedication to their goal goes beyond their sales.

Their Lunette Cup comes in two sizes: Model 1 is designed for light periods while Model 2 is meant for women who experience moderate to heavy bleeding during their days. All colors are available in these two models so every customer can comfortably choose without a worry. On top of that their Buy One Give One cup stands out as another way, they show their commitment. It's the same design but for each purchase, you get an accompanying pouch and the company will donate another cup, an enticing alternative all on its own.

Since day one I have been one with my lunette cup. I've never had any problems, that was probably just luck.. I switched about a year and a half ago and never looked back because I love my lunette so much.

    • Comfortable
    • Convenient
    Cons
    • Once in a blue moon it leaks

You could never go wrong with Lunette
I have had both the Diva Cup and the OrganiCup. The Diva Cups rim was to firm causing pain with removal and the OrganiCup has grip rings that were too prominent. My Lunette doesn't have both problems I faced before. Which is why the Lunette is my absolute favourite cup. The Lunette is fairly average in size, capacity and firmness. Which is why I think it's the kind of cup you could almost never go wrong with. I also love that the product is made in Finland and not cheaply in China.
    Pros
    • Smooth flat stem
    • Good suction
    • Rim is prominent, but not so thick it hurts
    Cons
    • Hard to get out due to good suction
    • Have to empty twice on my heaviest day
    • Hard to open sometimes because of softness

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Blue, model 1 Lunette *Good Beginner Cup*
I absolutely love this cup, but I will be upgrading to a size 2 soon. This cup is a great starter cup if you really don't know which cup to get. It is about average in everything which makes it great to learn from. It is easy to fold and insert. It also pops open pretty easy for the most part as long as you are relaxed. It is also very easy to remove. Probably the easiest cup to remove that I own (2 other brands). It is easy to pull on the stem, squeeze the sides, and the suction breaks pretty quickly. I really have no complaints about it.
    Pros
    • Long stem for removal
    • Average firmness
    • Great company to work with.
    Cons
    • Could be a bit firmer and wider.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    excellent!
i love everything about this cup. capacity is good, stem is gripped so it’s easily grabbed. my only problem is that it might be slightly too firm for me! i’ve noticed pressure on my bladder that makes it a bit difficult to pee. but otherwise it’s been a dream!
    Pros
    • capacity
    • stem
    Cons
    • firm

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Great for beginners, softens with use
I have been using this cup for 4.5yrs. Overall I am quite satisfied with it, although with time I have found it leaks when I am exercising or just because the capacity is not that big. It's very comfortable to get it out because of the rimmed stem and bottom. As for the stem, I only left a tiny bit of it because otherwise it bothers me (I think I have a regular to low cervix).

I am thinking now about upgrading my cup to a Model 2 of this brand, but I am afraid it might be too rigid for me... otherwise I'll definitely be buying this cup again :)
    Pros
    • Easy to insert and take out
    • Good grasp that prevents slipping
    Cons
    • Limited capacity if heavy flow
    • Loses rigidness over time

    Yes, I recommend this product.
